Central Oregon 500 for 50+

Registration is now open for the 2016 Central Oregon 500 event. Central Oregon 500+
This ride is 5 days of full or metric Centuries on all the best routes in Central Oregon. Ride dates 6/8/2016 to 6/12/2016. All of the rides start and finish in Bend OR and are led by local ride guide volunteers. This year there will be a 100 mile gravel grinder option on day 3 and 150 mile option on day 5. I am a 50+ and started this ride on the week of my 50th birthday solo. After 3 years of doing that i decided it was too good to not share and the Mt Bachelor Sports Education Foundation took the ride on as a fund raiser for it's youth summer cycling program. It's a laid back atmosphere with registration limited to 50 so by the end of the week you will have made a bunch of new cycling friends.
Enjoy...

*sigh* ... I would so love to do that.

I've done some riding thereabouts on Cycle Oregon, and it was fab. Smith Rock is a gem.

We have our lunch break at Smith rock State Park on that day. Great riding through farm country. Mackenzie pass is another great ride too and when the weather works we have a long option that goes over Santiam pass then down the Mackenzie river and then back up an over the pass. Gets he excited just writing about the rides.

Come join us.

What a great event in one of my favorite places. Take pictures and allow us to enjoy the event vicariously.

Great scenery in the area, the rides sound like fun, but I'm not a century type rider.
