How are your Hybrid wheels holding up?
I have a specialized crosstrail comp.
The wheel designation is simply "rims.........alloy, double wall, disc"
so I'm guessing there a proprietary product.
I have about 1K miles on them. Virtually all road, but some rough going over broken pavement, a couple of curb hits and one crash.
Neither of my wheels have any problems whatsoever. Not even going out of true.
Can't say the same about DW's Cannondale Adventure 2 with Alex DC 5.0, double wall.
Similar mileage on same roads, but have had to true the wheels several times.
Anyone know something about the specialized wheels?
Are they made by specialized or do they have a wheel maker make them for the brand.

They are probably made by another manufacturer. I know Alex Rims made some wheels for Specialized.

I only have the Sport, but I have had one spoke break this past October while riding on the Great Allegheny Trail and it required the rim to be trued. Not including trainer time, I've ridden a bit over 800 miles. Think this occurred most likely because I'm still 300lbs and switched to smaller tires. (Working really hard to get down to 250lbs by end of this summer).

I've got several 700c wheels with wide tires that are still fine .
(I have built several myself)
Specialized Bike Imports Corp. buys in large enough volume to get their parts re badged, & Have for several Decades
Bike assembly factories have wheel making machines ..
Your Dealer will keep them in good shape If you stop by for after sale service, occasionally.

At around 260 lbs, I was snapping spokes on my Bontrager AT550 at the rate of 1 every 10 days... LBS replaced the wheel under warranty with a ZAC19 rim with double butted spokes. The wheel has been solid for the last 1000+ mi.
I recently acquired a truing stand, so I trued the wheel to perfection (about 100 mi ago).
Then I decided to change the front wheel to a ZAC19 rim, so I bought a ready made wheel from Amazon for 50 bucks or so. It came with monstrous 2.6 mm spokes! I don't expect to ever have any problem with those... I put on 28 mm tires and the bike looks and feels sensational.
I ordered another ZAC19 for my wife's bike, because the local LBS had (mildly) tacoed the (new) wheel they installed last year... I released tension on all spokes and started from the beginning, got rid of the taco but I have some unreal spoke tensions to true the wheel to +/- 1mm and I don't trust it. Afterwards, I will use her Shimano XT hub to build my first wheel (for her bike).

Specialized makes crosstrail wheels from rims and hubs they buy, spokes not sure if they buy or make. There was a thread around here somewhere which ID the rim and hub vendor, they were well known.

Distorted in 4 quadrants, matching at 180 degrees. Like a taco. It is a round disc, two sides match on the top, to match on the side.
I could see my wife's wheel wobbling for some time, took it back to the LBS and they said that the tire was a bit off-center, nothing to worry about... The tire IS a bit distorted, but when I removed it, I could see the rim wobbling as I described. There was no significant difference in spoke tension, so I tried to correct the out-of true. I would take it in here and it would pop out there. So, in the end I took the tension out from all the spokes and started from 0. Didn't quite get it perfectly true, but I had to resort to 100+ kg tension in a few of the spokes and it worries me. Better start with a new rim.

The stock wheels on my 7.4 have held up beautifully. Probably about 1,500 miles on them and they've never needed a truing. Although most of my riding is on well paved streets and paths.
