Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I'll sell you 3 leader frames for $100. Lol. All white, all 735s. One has a dented head tube, one has fked up paint chips, and one has a drive side chainstay that didn't get the second dimple it should have.

I got a 6KU and so far I am happy with it, it is light and I love the way it looks, the only downside is the brakes they are so ****.

DAMN my old touring bike weighed that much with racks, bottle cages, larger bars and some other accessories. It was a fully geared 3x9 bike with disc brakes. Heck my new touring bike is 28lbs with a lot of the same. That is ridiculous that a fixed gear bike would weigh that much and you want to replace it with the same crap with maybe a different material? Oy vey.

It was a no brand bike. The wheels weighed in at 3,300g for the pair, the frame alone weighs at least 4kg and the fork it had weighed 1,200g. The worst part was that I paid $300 for it!

"Weighs at least" = estimate, likely exaggerated, not actual weight.

Maybe I was of by a pound but the frame has got to weigh at least 7lbs, with the crank set and bottom bracket it weighs about 11lbs

Well The frame and crankset weighs close to 5kg and the frame is a high tensile steel frame with a semi-aero down tube like modern aluminum frames just a little smaller. Perhaps the scale is wrong but i kid you not, when I lift the frame/w/crankset it feels heavier than a gallon of water.

This. end thread.

I just unloaded my Dolan, not for any other reason as I'm done with fixed gear. Great frame for the price, stiff and responsive.
