Couple minor changes. Fatboys on for the spring/summer weather, slightly longer stem, and changed out some of the drivetrain.
Was 39/20 SS, currently 42/17 fixed. A nice comfy 70" with those massive tires.
PedalRoom for those so inclined.
Looks fab, almost deserves drops+hoods. That colorway has to be the best Big Block colorway, apart from that gorgeous black sparkle on this year's mode.

I had Fatboys on a bike. They look fantastic. 100% slick + gum wall. 45mm pillows. On paper they were my dream tire.
Something felt "off" with them though. They always felt extremely sluggish and made the bike steer wonky. And they didn't suck up bumps like you'd think a 45mm tire should do with ease. I replaced them after only a few miles. I can't overstate the improvement to all aspects of ride and handling that I experienced by replacing them. It felt like I was on a completely different bike, no exaggeration.
I think there was something weird about the way the fabric was weaved. I've had low TPI tires before that rolled satisfactorily, but I just couldn't get those FBs to start rolling....or stay rolling.
When those wear out you might experiment with something else. You'd probably be pleasantly surprised. A lot.
Just my 2 cents.

Real sharp. I wish they did the Nature Boy Disc in that purple colorway. I've got it in the metalic blue and it's gorgeous, but the purple outfit has a special place in my heart.

i put approx 3,000mi on a set of fatboys that were on my straggler. flatted once. many of the miles were ridden on crushed gravel levees. i loved that tire. ended up giving them to a friend and shes still riding them.

Maybe I had a bad pair. Felt like I was riding on fly paper.

Yours is a super nice bike. Congratulations. I'd love to see close up pics of your fork compared to mine. Heck, I'd like to see close up pics of your whole bike!
