Santana quill stem to threadless adapter - 1 1/4
I know that on a couple of my older road bike - I found a 1" TO 1 1/8 QUILL adapter to use many of the modern stems and bars. I know the Santana Sovereign I have has an odd sized stem at 1 1/4" . Is there an 1 1/4 quill to 1 1/8" adapter to do the same thing.

We use the Nitto adapator on our Trek T200. Nice bit of kit, better than any 1 to 1&1/8 adaptor I have ever seen. Practical and much much cheaper than a new fork for an old bike.

There isn't anything tandem specific about these adapters. You might save big bucks getting one from a co-op or someplace like Universal Cycles. I got one for our Burley Samba for a swap of the OEM stem at my local co-op.

Found the Nitto 1 1/4 threaded to 1 1/8 threadless headset online for about 35.00.. Good quality and deal - now to find a set of 31.8 Cinelli Palm handlebars
