Since starting to ride more (finally) I've been getting some good sensations. Yesterday morning I piloted a new ~2 hr MTB commute that is a mix of roads and canyon trails. On the way home I rode straight back (40 min) on the road and really smashed a few sections - wish I would have had a PM for the I-15 bike path. I felt great.
All this after a successful Laguna MTB weekend. Friday I rode 3 hrs on the road in the AM, with another 90 min in the mountain meadows PM. Saturday was the typical Noble Canyon run with a climb back up on the hwy - 90 min of mostly climbing.
Things are going to stay more or less put between now and my Sierra backpacking trip in two weekends. Then after that it's on!

23 mile short road bike ride today, kept the pace a little spicy and averaged 18mph. Also tore down my beater so I could use the TRP levers on a road cockpit for the track bike. Been feeling like doing fixed road rides again. Probably gonna want to get rid of the 23's on it in about a week.

25mi road ride. Didn't realize it was 95 degrees until I got outside and I had already decided to ride up hills.
Still kicking.
Today I started the process of putting a front deraillieur on the Portland and bumping it to 9 speed.

Meant to go out for an easy evening cruise, wound up alternating mild/spicy laps on this 5k loop I ride a bunch. Temperature dropped like 10 degrees while I was out, which was super nice.
Fresh Garbage
I got off work several hours early today and decided to ride a little. That was cut short by a broken spoke on my roadie bike and decided I really dont like the Dura Ace triple on there. Anybody got a 7800 compact double?

Bailed on going to track because of unhealthy air quality. I was an hour into the commute. #lasucksforcycling

Went out for a ~25mi fixed ride on one of the routes I usually do on my road bike. Not super climby, but there's a few hills that I thought would kick my ass without gears. I PR'ed on pretty much all of them and my average speed for the ride was slightly faster than my usual on the road bike. So that was a nice little surprise.
