Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I want to like it but the mishmash of parts, ergo bars and bad tape job, and the periscope just don't do it for me

Some valid points. The tape didn't work out with the ergo and aero top shapes. I'll give it another go however I like the bars. I'm not going to cut the rest of the steerer, it was twice as high but I want to leave some room for adjustment. Definitely a mishmash, just picked up the wheels at a swap meet. I wanted something with an alloy track. They're pretty sweet though, reasonably light and dt Swiss hubs.

Edit: nevermind, I just read the lettering on the hub. It's the skewer, not the wheel.

Is it really one bike or two exactly the same except for color?

It's a two-tone paint job.

Not a fan of the bars, but everything else is so top notch it still easily gets a hot from me! I'll echo what has been said, we need a shot showing the two colors at the same time!

So many ergo barz, they do not belong in this thread... removing the giant wheel decals and a new stem on the fuji would go a long way.

palate cleanser, love the newer DA wheel graphics looks so good with the skinwalls. Setup so solid I can give the cheeky chain a pass.

@slowjamz

You should share one of your bikes here. Photobucket no longer works(unless you pay the ransom).

I still love that Tarmac! ^^^^^^^^^^^

I like the new Camo colorway they have. I would break the bank for a new S-works Tarmac SL6 in Blurple!

Nice! I just found one of these frames and my winter build has begun. What width tires do you have on this?

26mm S-Works Tubeless tires. Pain to seat on those CLX50s but incredible ride.

They look good. Unlike a previous poster, I think the gold wheels look ok. They match the logo on the head tube.

Also the same setup as this Nicky Hayden raffle bike.....

Nothing against those rims in general, but for this bike, I think you might be better served with black rims of similar profile, especially if you're going to stick with those dark modern "brifters," which are too bulky for the retro look. I do envy the stem, and chrome stays and fork, though.

Yeah, I was pretty hyped when I found out about that. It's exactly the same but his has the hover bars. Love it. Not it's got double meaning, Sagan's WC and Hayden's memorial bike.

I got screwed. Someone put a deposit on the frame in another state 3 mins before my LBS did.

On a good note, I just test rode and put a deposit an a 2017 Venge Expert Disc in White for only $1K more complete then just the frame would have cost.
