Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You can get 3D printed Garmin quarter turn male mounts and glue/tape/screw them to your phone case of choice. Something like this: https://www.shapeways.com/product/9B...-for-phone-cas

Whether you want an expensive iphone attached by a 3D printed mount that you've glued on yourself is another question.

I bought one of those mounts and I'm not crazy about it. The one I got doesn't "click" into place like my Garmin does. It works great for the trainer, but I wouldn't trust it out on the road.

Quad Lock is the only answer. But most will get something cheaper. When I was using the QL mount after the phone clicks is very reassuredly, I could lift the bike up by the phone/mount.

Quad Lock is what you're after.

Or head up to General Discussions and ask them. I'm sure they can tell you how to fasten an amazing mount out of old VCR parts and a vibrator or something.

Not sure I understand the question, but I have a LifeProof case for my iPhone. I got the bike mount as a gift but haven't used it because I don't use my phone to navigate (or for any other bike-related reason) on a regular basis, and there is not much real estate left on my touring bike's bars to mount the thing.

Is that Garmin compatible? I already have a garmin out-front (originally got it as a camera holder), I want an iphone holder that will work with it.

Note that you would likely want to use an actual Garmin out front mount and a new model at that. Some of the "other" out front models place the 1/4 turn mount level or below the stem, such as the VeloEndeavors units I use. That's a problem when the phone is much larger then even the largest Garmin units, thus the stem may be in the way of the phone. The newer Garmin out front mount is designed so that the device site "higher" in relation to the stem.

As well, I agree with smarkinson that I don't think I'd want my $600 iPhone mounted with a glue on Garmin 1/4 turn adapter.
