Hub Change from Shimano to Campy DT Swiss 240s?

Need some help.

I've got a set of Reynolds 66 Tubulars (campy hub) and a set of Reynolds 46 DVT 46 UL's (Shimano hub)...... they are both supposedly DT Swiss 240s hubs, however, the campy hub looks to have a pulloff end cap and the shimano hub has a screw off end cap.

I was hoping to simply take the shimano hub off the 46 DVT's and put the capmy hub from the 66's on....but based on the initial observation, this does not look like it will be that easy since the hub splines look to be internal on the 46 dvts' and external on the campy.........

I'm confused since both these hubs are supposed to be DT Swiss 240s

Any help in what I should do ?

Thanks

I'm confused too. What's an endcap?
What's a hub?
What is a Campy hub that is really a DT Swiss hub?

In theory, you can swap freehubs on DT Swiss 240s. My PT G3 hub is built by DT Swiss and uses that freehub system also.

In practice, the 240 has had some changes over time, so an older 240 and a newer 240 may not match up exactly and that sounds like your problem.

Since you have both available, why not just take them apart and see what happens?
