Merlin is having another sale on some top brands. Shimano/Campag additional 10% Schwalbe tires. I picked up two of the new Schwalbe Pro One's tubeless for $43.50 ea vs. normal price that I find which are closer to $80ea. Picked up a full Dura Ace 9150 group for $2137 last month.
Priced a Sram Quark power meter but Merlin wouldn't let me ship it to the US.

Interesting. I was thinking maybe it was due to shipping of lithium battery but my Dura Ace DI2 kit was shipped with no challenges. You should reach out to them, they’ve always answered my questions within the day.

$19.99 for Michelin Pro 4 Service Course, 700x23 with royal blue sidewall only, Planet Cyclery fulfilled by Amazon right now. I'd put those on my wishlist last week when they were $25 each, but bought a pair of 700x25 Continental Ultra Sport 2 instead.

15% off at performance bike. Great deals to be had on bikes and gear. Some stuff doesn’t apply, but worth taking a look. Just picked up a Fuji SL 2.3, carbon c-10 frame and ultegra drive train for $1105 and then got $41 from ebates with a 3.5% cash back is a sweet deal. Not to mention 10% back in performance points. Happy shopping. 15% until Monday Feb 5.
I use activejunky.com for rebates not just at performance bike but also Nashbar, etc.
Found out about activejunky on another bike forum.

Hard to judge much from only 80 miles, and I'm still getting over the flu so my strength and speed are way down. But compared with the Schwalbe One V-Guards I'd ridden since last July, I like the Ultra Sport 2 for Conti's low end road tire. Only significant difference I'm feeling is they seem a bit squirmy on fast cornering -- the 700x23 Schwalbe One V-Guards tracked curves like they're on rails. The slightly squirmy feel may be due to squeezing larger tires into narrow rims. My older road bike's Araya CTL-370 rims have a 14mm inner width and were originally fitted with 700x18 tires.

It all depends on the agreement a retailer has with the manufacturer. In almost all industries, you are only allowed to sell in your market. Shimano allows UK retailers to sell overseas, but SRAM's agreement does not allow it.

That's about as low as you'll find them in the US. Performance has a price match guarantee so I'm going to head over there this week and show them the ad.

Kool Stop tire bead jack has dropped in price on Amazon to $11.14 today, down from $12.74 when I bought one last week. That thing is a must for installing some notoriously tight fitting tires like the Continental Ultra Sport 2 set I just put on. Would have helped with the Schwalbe Ones I installed last summer too.

Steep discounts on Amazon right now for small size Serfas Speed Bag seat bags in orange and green only (currently $7 and $9 respectively, subject to change at vendor whim). Usual price is around $20-$24.
These are excellent seat bags. You'll be pleasantly surprised if you've only checked out the more commonly seen wedge bags from Topeak, JandD, etc., for general cyclists, or the Arundel, Lezyne and various ultra-compact bags more popular with roadies. The two discounted colors are a steal, especially if you're already an Amazon Prime subscriber.
I've already used the expandable medium Speed Bag for a year, switching it between my hybrid and road bikes. I got the small in orange for the road bike since I usually ride it only 20-30 miles and carry less stuff.

That's a 157% increase in under 2 minutes.
Thanks for posting the deal, Crankle!

Yeah, I think Amazon is experimenting with market demand pricing. I'm seeing lots of fluctuations, some minor, some major. And Amazon is coy about price matching and refunds of differences when prices decrease after purchases.
For example, for awhile Amazon would refund the difference if a price dropped within 30 days of purchase -- and only for items sold directly by Amazon, not other vendors. Then they shortened that period to 7 days. Now some Amazon Prime subscribers are reporting inconsistent stories from customer service -- sometimes they'll refund differences after price drops, sometimes they won't.
I'm not going to worry about the $1.60 price drop on the Kool Stop tire bead jack I just bought. But I might ask for a price difference refund for a more expensive item, just to see how Amazon responds.
Over the past several years there have been business news reports of stores considering customer-based pricing, such as using mobile apps to notify select customers of price drops while they're shopping -- for example, as you're passing the meat aisle in the grocery store your app for that store could notify you that ribs have just been discounted for select customers. It's based on various factors -- purchasing habits, proximity to holidays or weekends, possibly even on the customer's credit history and income.
It's controversial because some customers might be offended at seeing another customer in line with them get a lower price for an item. It's common in financing big ticket items -- homes, automobiles, etc. -- but with items considered necessities -- food, etc., -- it risks accusations of price gouging and discrimination based on sensitive factors.

Their inventory shows 6 left - I would think that it's safe to assume that it's not a coincidence that the price changed immediately after the purchase; the three units at once probably put them under some AI-determined tipping point. Lighten inventory on unpopular colors with aggressive pricing and then bump the price up for the estimated 6 shoppers that will actually want a green bag. CamelCamelCamel confirms similar pricing strategy over the past three month, btw - price drifts down until they move some units, then it bumps back to $22 and then drifts down again until more bites. Rinse, repeat.

I just use the Chrome extension on my PC - most of my heavy browsing is done there, as opposed to my phone. It's non-intrusive when not in use, but easy to see pricing history and set up email pricing alerts when desired. Pricing history is nice on stuff with a clear pattern like this - keeps you from buying high.

Competitive Cyclist has the Vision Trimax 4D carbon handlebars for $109. Retail at most other retailers is close to $300.

I didn't even know it existed but it's exactly what I need, thanks @canklecat! My index finger is still a bit messed up from all the effort I put into putting Conti GP4000IIs on my bike two weeks ago. Adding insult to injury, I only managed to seat the tire by resorting to using a lever and puncturing two tubes (I've changed tires but never used a tool before). I plan to use the jack soon because I forgot I had another correct-sized tube left and ended up putting in a smaller tube that I'll want to replace.

It dipped even lower, I bought one just now for $10.59. Yesterday it was also under $11, and I was going to pull the trigger, but when I logged in and found the item it had gone up to $11.15 so I passed.

The price has fluctuated as much as $2 since i bought it. Don't care, even at the $12 or so I paid it'll be worthwhile.
I only wish I'd bought it along with the Conti Ultra Sport II tires I just installed last week. Yeah, I read the complaints about how difficult Conti road tires are to install. But I figured, nah, me strong, me got caveman vise grip mitts, me no need tire bead jack.
My wrists and thumbs are still aching a week later.
I nicked the brand new front tube, which developed a slow leak. No way was I gonna redo that without a tire bead jack. I squirted in the last 2 ounces from a bottle of Slime tube sealant that I'd used on my errand bike and gravel bike. For the moment I don't care if it slows me down. I'll replace that tube eventually, now that I have another new tube and the Kool Stop tire bead jack. But for now the Slime is working.
