Premis Bottom Bracket
Picked this up recently and can't find any info on the bottom bracket. I guess I'm a bad googler. Feels like it might need some grease, and I've thought about replacing it with a more modern sealed cartridge option. Hoping to get some info from you guys on sizing, threading, and/or options for replacement. Trying to keep the original cranks.

You have the bike in hand complete with BB? If so, what are the markings on the cups? Do you have the tools to pull it and see what the spindle is marked?

Its at home and I'm at work. I may have the tools and will go that route, but I still won't know what kind of threading it is and the width of the shell, right?

Premis was made by Schwinn. It should have English threading, 68 mm width. The variable is the spindle length. Go with a Shimano UN26 or UN55 if you are going the sealed cartridge route.

Those are the only unknowns left. Good money says that @CycleryNorth81 is correct about 68mm/English.

Deliver in a few days and they are really nice. No plastic cup or threading, clean cut threading and wrench spot, and solidly smooth spinning.
As mentioned, look at your current spindle for length.
If your current one is offset(one side is longer than the other), then buy a cartridge BB that matches your longer side of the spindle x2. So some measuring is needed.

Being a Schwinn Premis, it would have left the factory with English bottom bracket threads. Unless the shell got damaged at some point and was reamed and re-tapped as Italian, it should still be English thread.
