Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No. 32 . . . oh boy!

1969 was the year of Woodstock, were they invited? I don't know, maybe they were and couldn't attend, prior engagement.

Don't mind me, I'm just being obtuse.

I've only had 3 sips of coffee each morning since Monday.

Today it caught up to me.

That bike came up in a thread in General about Walmart bikes.
Nope, but it was on the same page under, "Customer's also considered..." - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-26-...Black/54169167

Looking around you can get gears and either disc brakes or dual suspension for $99, but not both.

The perfect #bangforthebuck bike isn't available yet.

After my 122 mile ride yesterday, I discovered what I thought was dog mess on my bike shoes. It turned out to be tar and was almost welded to my shoe . It took me about an hour to chisel it off with a small screwdriver. It was almost solid. Never thought about that before.

Look on the bright side. During my tour earlier in June I actually did step in dog mess when I stepped off a sidewalk at a park parking lot into the bushes to relieve myself. When I finally discovered it in camp I felt bad when I remembered that I had walked through a sporting goods store with carpets and a grocery store. Hard to scraped it out of my recessed cleat space with a stick.

One of the two women in the group (they were sisters) became the President & CEO of St. Agnes HealthCare in Baltimore, where the group was from and where they were discovered by Ellen Naomi Cohen a/k/a "Mama Cass." How many people who played at Woodstock (and who are still alive) can make that claim?

My son was visiting the other day and turned on the Saudi v. Egypt game. I watched for half the game and I must say, It wasn't as bad as I thought.

Definitely better than hockey.

Reducing muscle tension in the sore hip/back area.

There's only so much one can achieve with a roller and baseball.

Shoes inside the tent ist verboten. Always. Plus, I can't even sit up straight in my touring tent, much less walk into it.

Had a terrible night of sleeping thanks to previously posted kitten nibbling on my fingers any chance it got. It's too damned adorable to be mad though.

Also, arrived home yesterday and my cats helped me look for the culprit who knocked my plant off the bar. We could not find them so it remains a mystery...
