Ask the doc for sleeping pills. Or get the weaker ones at CVS. It helps. And it took along time to be able to sleep on my side for part of the night

I don’t fit in a recliner, so I ended up using pillows on a ramp to elevate, and others to stop me rolling. Was pretty miserable and I spent a lot of time in bed NOT sleeping but trying to.
I had (but didn’t take) Tramadol In fairly large doses for the pain and to help me sleep.
When they slit my throat open last week, it was the same;,8 people’s myself on pillows so I could sleep for the first week and a bit.
i feel for you BG. it sucks.

None holiday rides - I usually ride down to the MIL but they're coming up here, so cooking duty calls. Will probably sneak in a zwift ride or two when my wife isn't looking.
Looking like a ride to Oceanside is in the cards for tomorrow.
I still need to put my carbon bars on the Gan, might do that this afternoon so I can enjoy them tomorrow.

I did a zwift-less trainer session in the backyard since I had the fever on Friday/Sat. AKA dumb fluid trainer

Have a ride planned with a business associate at 0730 on Thanksgiving (weather permitting). He's somewhat new to riding and has an e-bike, so we will see how that works out.
Our club has rides Fri/Sat/Sun, will likely do two out of three.

I see on Strava you're already zwifting, but weather has been beautiful! We don't pay the ridiculous taxes and housing prices here in SoCal just to stay indoors and zwift!

Hopefully I will get out a bit. I’m off medical rest as of Wednesday, and my new wheels arrive then too. I suspect a T-day Ride is in order

Performance as in performancebike.com and bikenashbar.com? Are they restructuring-gonna-be-ok kind of chapter 11, or we're-totally-going-under?

restructuring but it's a declining market as far as I can tell, who knows what will happen. Looks like they're going to close about 40 stores (you can tell because they admit you can't redeem points at those 40 stores, check the website to see if yours is on the list, none of the ones up here are)

Oh, and I installed my new carbon bars before my ride to O-side yesterday. Very nice! They're 44cm C-C, which is what I had on the bike before. The "flats" are not as flat as the OEM bars but they're still very pleasant to hold on to with some nice cinelli tape on the bars.
Definitely noticed an improvement in road buzz reduction. That plus 80 psi in the tubeless tires and it was a pretty smooth ride.

OD is over 28mm. Still fit with a lot of clearance on the bike though. Pumped ‘me up to 85psi and I’ll take them out tomorrow.
Pedals on my mountain bike came off. Holy crap — I snapped a cheap spanner before I got them removed. They’ve been installed since 2013 and are M515 Spuds that graced my Kona Caldera when I was big into MTB in 2000.

Wait till you ride in a cross wind with those babies. Just wait! Woo hoo! There's a road near me (Antonio Parkway before La Pata) with a strong side wind.... usually going 40 mph or so because it's a nice long down hill and it's terrifying. Well, scary at least. OK, unnerving.
I finally swapped out the ****ty SRAM cassette on my kickr for a shimano 105 cassette and DAMN if it isn't significantly quieter. I've tweaked and tweaked and could never eliminate the chain noise on that GD Sram cassette. New 105 cassette = instance silence. Delightful.

28mm OD! The 25mm tyres are so wide. Lots of clearance still, so I bet I can run a 28 on those or a 32 on the Fulcrums. I’m going to give tubeless a try in the Fulcrums for bad weather and crappy conditions.

My wheels are a peasant's 31mm deep-- and in the seasonal 25mph crosswinds coming out of the Cajon Pass, I feel like I'm going to be blown completely off the road. On the first of this month, I spent 2 hours battling that cross/headwind, and had sore shoulders for a week from fighting to keep the bike upright.

Taking turn 1 on the straight at Laguna on an S1000RR left me super sore in the biceps. Definitely need to do some work before I get back on the race bike here....
