I finally got around to putting my titanium fork and Chris King GripNut headset on. I also put new cranks, pedals, and Ti seatpost. I found this heavy duty rear rack too.

So what did you save weight wise? Was the ride altered in terms of muting road vibration? I have used a Gripnut as well for at least 5 years with 0 problems.

Very nice looking. Great saddle choice. I have a Brooks Cambium on my Dahon.

I didn't weight the parts or the bike beforehand, but the ti fork and the ti seatpost feel ridiculously light holding them in my hand. I have noticed a better ride feeling; it's not as harsh or as jarring. For what it's worth, I wasn't unhappy with the original ride quality .

My ride problems are really just in my hands. I now use cork Ergons and bar ends but I've read TI soaks up road vibrations and wondered if the ride felt smoother.

Titanium flex more than steel and aluminum.
it dampers more the vibrations.
