I'm guessing because they were started individually by two different people at two different times. Think Occam's razor.

It's either a new frame material, or the end of life on earth as we know it. Hopefully a new frame material.

Shaft driven?

Could it be a production shaft driven bike? Elimination of the chain.

At first I thought it was mucus, but looking closer it appears to resemble the structure of phelm. Maybe they'll mix in a little nasal snot for extra dynamic performance and 'frame flex' on rough roads. It all makes sense; just think of how strong birds nests are with all those sticks and twigs held together by precious bodily fluids.

graphene.

200 times stronger than steel, perhaps 14 pounds or less bikes the norm, and conducts electricity for built in wiring of sorts.

GCN produced an interesting video on this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaKl...ature=youtu.be ...sure this could change everything.
