Obviously a bike boom gas-piper, but some interesting features. Would be fun to rehab, and ride it into one of the remaining True Value stores and ask if they still stock spare parts for the disc brake...

My wife worked at Cotter &Co during those years and even cycled to and from work sporadically. She can remember seeing that head badge but said none of her bikes came from there.

Pretty much a buyer's swap. A lot of candy... my favorite was a pearlescent yellow 86' Paramount. Looked like it never got off a trainer.

That is an interesting bike. My first thought is a repainted Colnago. I’ve never seen a Look in anything but CF.

Dude, the Suntour Superbe Tech rear derailleur! Known as one of Suntour's Icarus moments, particularly in the MTB scene with its dirt-sensitive upper pulley. As for non-abusive road use, they were fine. Very supple shifting. I had two, and actually got one of them to perfectly index a 7-speed cassette using a 7-speed Shimano Sante DT shifter set on a rain bike a few years ago. 1983 ST (touring) models did have these derailleurs. I'd love to own one of these very early ones--I've owned a few 1985 models and now a '90 ST400 that's been fully modernized in touring form. Great bikes.
