Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm not telling you which wheels are fastest, only linking a test. I'm also not saying if the world is flat, or not. Just stating that many believe it's flat.

A test that was supposed run after hours using up tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment time as well as acquiring the wheels yet not a single image taken?

So if a manufacturer takes photos of a wheel being tested, that confirms the results of the test?

I have a bridge for sale. $1,000,000,000 or best offer.

I don't think this is accurate. I would say Zipp, HED, Enve

+++ on this. I've had a set of Boyd 44mm disc brake wheels on my road bike for the past two years and think they are the best thing since sliced bread. I'm coming to the wheels from a set of Reynolds Assaults. I cannot recommend the Boyd wheels enough. Customer services has been fantastic whenever I've contacted them with questions. Give them a look.

There was a post a couple of days ago about the Trek/Bontrager warranty. The wheels have a 2 year 100% replacement policy (mostly), followed by lifetime replacement/repair for 1/3 to 1/2 the retail price of new. Lots of fine print... but, in general, it might be worthwhile to see what other vendors offer too.

Enve and HED make quality wheels, and Zipp spends a crapload convincing consumers they make quality wheels.

Zipp wheels are nice. I've had a few sets. But they have had issues with their hubs for close to 20 years now.

Hed and Zipp wheels also are nice. They have not had hub issues.

Start with a mythical narrative.
Enter test with preconceived notion.
Confirm bias.
Publish report - or even better, make a Youtube video.

Interesting how there close the correlation between rim depth and power is. Not perfect but the trend is obvious.

How do you define "best" and why do you believe you will find the "best" wheel in the medium depth category. Imo the best wheels at those that wont break, wont get out of true, have hubs and a free hub that last, is low maintenance and wont blow you off the road. Only then aero or weight is of any concern.
