Great job! Requested to follow on Strava ... I like to follow people I find here, even if they are 500 miles to the South!

Honestly if your past history on excess lbs is anything like mine, staying stable is a huge step forwards from cut 8 gain 10, cut 10 gain 12, cut 80 gain 100 :-).

Actually I just left the group. There were way too many members that I did not recognize from this forum on there. I was not getting anything out of it and as I have several other groups on there I belong to...I felt trimming my clubs down was in order.

This is the group filled with non-Clydes right?
I actually joined it, but find that Strava's implementations of clubs is really one of its weak points.
@Beachgrad nice work!

I think this thread needs an update from me. Well....lots have happened since my last post in April 2015.
My weight ballooned to about 10 lbs less than my worst known weight. My last post was not too long after I was working at bike shop and had gotten down to my lowest in about 15+ years. I got a job in my old field that was a bad fit and I knew better but needed the income. Stress, sedentary job and worse alcohol frequently offered at that job. (that did help with stress but not weight). I eventually got the job with county of Orange late 2015 and of course sedentary job....and was assigned to office 30 miles from my home which made for hour in AM and hour + in evening for commute. I began using my motorcycle to commute a few days a week and reduce my expenses in gas on top of reducing commute time. Well...that lasted until Oct 14, 2016 when I was hit by a car changing lanes on the freeway.
I was extremely lucky. My motorcycle took the brunt of the collision and was totaled. My right anke was compressed between vehicle and motorcycle and I suffered tears and major contusions but all is healed now. I landed on my left hip ... which was a problem. I did months of PT and tried to ride my bicycle here and there. One ride I had to call for a ride because I could not push on the pedal on my left side. My Ortho Doc was not open to hip replacement saying I was too young. My PT was saying that therapy was not going to make it better and suggested 2nd opinion. So that is what I did. New Ortho immediately set me up for hip replacement for Oct 30, 2017. At this point my weight was up to about where I was when I got my road bike in 2012. After the surgery I was on trainer at 3 weeks and got my weight down to about what I was at in summer of 2012 when I met some of this forum to ride GMR.
I did AIDS/Lifecycle in June 2018 and I did the over the head bike pose at halfway point. When I was putting my bike down I felt something in my shoulder. After the ride when I would go for a bike ride...my shoulder was killing me and so I eventually got in to Ortho and guess what...torn rotator cuff and bicep tendon. Surgery Nov 2018 and 6 weeks in immobilizer. I got lazy at this point as was NOT allowed to ride my bike even on trainer tho I could have defied that I suppose but sitting upright on bike on trainer is not my favorite thing. This is when my weight got to the worst it had been since 2011.
I finally got back on bike outside mid March 2019. I started to commute to work by bicycle (was transferred to office closer to home in Aug 2017). Got my weight down some but hit a spot where it just stayed. I stopped commuting when my commuter bike went on trainer to do Zwift Academy pretty much. I got a second TV to put in my Zwift room so could watch football and zwift at same time. Football season always seemed to kill my riding. I rode a lot this past fall but weight stayed in generally same spot. Obviously my diet was an issue.
So I started Noom...and I was hugely skeptical that it would help me. Especially since the concepts are not foreign to me as I have a BA in Psychology and am familiar with Cognitive Behavioral therapy concepts. Well...since Noom started on 1/5/20 I am down 12 lbs as of today. Moving in right direction again.

Injuries suck! I know this all too well. Glad to see you update this and I hope you have a great year riding, and the best of luck with NOOM. I wish I'd known about it before I chose weight loss surgery, as I would have tried that program as well.

As of today am down 16 lbs since Jan 1st.
I have been walking every day at work in AM and PM and have walked at park near my house for a few laps around the 1 mile walking path on days I don't work and am not riding my bike.
Last weekend I rode up Turnbull Canyon for the 2nd time. Last summer I did it in July and was probably about 17 lbs heavier than now. Last spring I was about 27 lbs heavier and I lost some weight by July but it stalled for rest of year....anyway...my time up Turnbull was 11 min 48 seconds FASTER than my previous time. Helped that I didn't stop at all. https://www.strava.com/activities/311...ts/77422162578
