Disc Wheel Curiosity

A thought came to my head and I tried to Google the answer but haven't quite found any images or explanations—not helped at all by how confusing disc wheel means now (since a lot of results think I want disc brake wheels)—but here goes:

How are disc wheels (the big dishes you find on TT/track bikes) attached to the hub? Are the hubs interchangeable? Is it some sort of big clamp that just tightens around the carbon dish? Are the wheels typically hollow or filled with foam!?

Pictures of explanations would be great. Thanks!

All of the above. Some are foam filled with a skin of fiber. Some are Hollow (well maybe an air bladder during the molding). While the range of hub design is likely narrow don't at all expect any interchangeability between brands. Andy

RJ the Bike Guy on YouTube posted a video the other day of random parts and got a hub with no spoke holes. A viewer said it was from an aero wheel (not necessarily a disc). Here's where he tries to figure out what he has:
