BWW Dura-Ace wheelset

I found these wheels at the BWW eBay store for $450 on close out. Dura-Ace 7900 10 speed hubs, DT Swiss spokes and nipples, laced to a Blackset Race 24mm deep rims, 32/32 lacing, 1650g. No warranty due to being on closeout. I know they’re not the latest and greatest, but they appear to be a good bang for the buck. Being new to aftermarket wheels I’d appreciate any feedback I can get. Also, I’m assuming that with the 32/32 lacing that they’d be ok for a 220 lb rider? Thanks.

Can't speak to the rims, never actually seen or heard of them but you can never go wrong with Dura Ace even if its the previous generation.
Another option that popped up when giving a quick search for info on the rim was this one https://bicyclewheelwarehouse.com/Cl...heel-sets.html
There's a DT Swiss Onyx option which is a really decent hub and mavic open pro rim which has historically been a decent race rim.

Sorry, BWW short for Bicycle Wheel Warehouse. The Blackset Race series are their house brand.

You will need a new freehub if you go 11 speed and I don't know compatibility between older DA and 11 speed stuff. However generally a handbuilt set of wheels assuming that is the case in 32/32 should be pretty decent for heavier riders if using quality components as they seem to be (minus possibly rims but I have never heard of them or their house brand)

Most of the last 10 years I've been heavier than that, and mostly riding a well built custom wheelset with 28f/32r spokes. They have not needed truing but once in well over 6000 miles.

I have purchased several wheel sets from BWW and they have been really good. Keep in mind they also have coupon codes that can give you up to 35% off a new wheel set - so keep that in mind.

I was looking at a set they had that has Dura Ace 7900 hubs laced to DT Swiss 460 rims for a rim brake gravel bike I have. I bought a different set for my wife's townie from them with their house brand rims and hubs and the quality and price was nice.. look for a coupon code and you might be able to save some $$.. John

I looked at the same rims but need an 11 speed. I was able to pick up an 11 speed version for $499 and am pretty thrilled about that. The hubs alone are worth nearly $400.

The ebay 10 speed rims are no longer available.
