Is this enough chain?
I went from a 30t ring to a 34t when I had measured the chain paired with the 46 cog in the rear. I added 2 full links on to my measured chain as typical for 1x setups.
I want to know if this is okay or if it’s too much stress on the derailleur? I was hoping to save on buying a new chain but will do it if this is too risky. There is still some flex available in the derailleur.

I don't have experience with a 1X MTB setup, but a derailleur cage that is almost in line with the rest of the derailleur would have me concerned about whether (a) the guide pulley has enough teeth in the chain to do its job, and (b) the chain is too short.
How does it look when the chain is in the physically smallest cog?

Looks good on that big cog to me. With the extra travel your cage has left, then you are good as long as the jockey wheel isn't bumping on the cog. And that you feel certain it won't when riding bumpy roads. That might end your fun for the day.
Usually if you can find the manufacturer manual for that DR, then they'll have their recommended method of sizing the chain and a little more info that might help.

Here's my quick checker.
You basically want to pull at least 1" "slop"

I would want that chain to be 1 link set longer. Also...what's it look like in the small cog?

My bad, that looks like it would easily take another link set and still be fine.

I, too, would prefer one more link pair in that chain. I understand you're looking to save on buying a new chain, and it does look like the derailleur will physically shift it as is now. But a very slightly longer chain would probably be easier on the springs and jockey wheels.

DarKris Is that 11 speed? If yes, given the above consensus re: an additional link, I would be happy to send you a couple of new leftover 11 speed Ultegra / XT links.
