Reached out to Faggin this morning almost right after I picked up the frameset. Davide already responded and is happy and approves of the results. Sending them an email with photos of the BB shell for info.

I will be offering chrome and cromovelato services soon. This is not chrome from the US. I use a chrome facility who does work for high end furniture manufacturers, wheel companies and custom and concourse car builders. Copper, nickel, polish, nickel, polish then chrome.

anodes need to be placed strategically- extra armature work $$$.

I think the chrome shows contaminated tanks and meh interest. Over polished before chrome layer. Terrific chrome is Hard to do, rare are the platers who will put in the time. To charge enough would scare off work. A production shop in my mind does not have the right viewpoint. Look at the bridges, the seat lug, chainstay sockets, Hard regions to set up right.

Super close up pics can show flaws that won't be seen from even a few feet away. I'd be happy with this chrome job.

"not US chrome", I am not surprised since that has been pretty much regulated into history. Certainly in California. So we don't need to know trade secrets but will be interested to know that there's a viable option for those who have NO choice at present. Maybe this is not "blue ribbon winning" in some folk's book, but looks pretty good to me, and I'm sure to others that have not a single chrome plating shop left in their State. And yes I know: that could be cause they have all died. The toxicity of this craft is no joke.
