oxalic acid advice
trying to clean up a rusty grill grate from a weber Q. combined 1/2 cub wood bleach with 2 gallons of water. after 12 hours the grate is still rusty. so i added another half cup of the wood bleach.
do i just need to be patient of is the oxalic acid content in wood bleach not sufficient for the amount I poured into the bath?
thanks guys

First: Why bother?
Second: I don't think it works through the grease. Run it through your dishwasher first.
Third: Getting the weber up to about 600 degrees with some Mesquite for an hour or two will clean it right up.
Fourth: Buy a new shiny one at Lowes.

heads up to anyone who thinks about doing this...don't. Had that grate in the acid for a week and still had to grind off rust. plus it's rusty where the grinder cant reach. tar-baby project..not worth the effort.
