Don't ya just love Robert Altman. In The Player (1992), he shows seven cyclists get up from their lunch table and all file between the camera and a close up of his anti-hero, Griffin Mill (Tim Robbins).

Been binging Ray Donovan on Showtime.
Not quite Sopranos level TV, but entertaining.

World champion, champions league winner, 8x german champion, 7x german cup winner, 1x FA Cup winner: Bastian Schweinsteiger of FC Bayern München, Manchester United FC and Chicago Fire
(i imagine he has the legs to not need the engine, but then the hairdo might have suffered )

Watched the film Robin's Wish (on Peacock) about William's fight with Lewy body dementia. They spent a few minutes talking about how he picked up the sport after John Belushi's death.

I like the big socks. You can't pay "too much" for a good pair of hosiery.

there was a brief period in the late sixties and very early seventies when knee socks for young women were a trend
in January of sixty-nine ran into an old girlfriend from junior high; we had both just recently completed our undergraduate studies
she had taken employment with the Rand Corporation and happened to mention she got some flack about wearing knee socks to work; evidently someone of an older generation thought the look unprofessional
