So a little free time today for me, and here are a couple of sets that are free to anyone that will use them for cost of shipping (probably about $20 through pirate ship). First is a set from a Raleigh racing that passed through here early this spring (Gone!) and second is a set from a 720 that came into our co-op with a bent frame.PM me if interested. Pics:
700c Araya aero style rims, seven speed freewheel Suntour New Winner, nothing special blue tires and standard low flange QR hubs.
Araya labels in good condition. I suspect the new owner will want to overhauls the hubs just to be sure.
Set two is Touring model Titan 27X1-1/4 with Maillard low flange hubs.
Rim labels are ok for being about 35 years old. I doubt they were ridden for many touring miles. Tire are nothing special but still service-able.

The second set are Maillard hubs. Is that a Helicomatic freewheel?

Looks like we have another happy BF member thanks to our maternal saint La Madonna del Ghisallo. EVlove has a new set of wheels for his Lotus. This thread is a great service for our members. Smiles, MH

After a very basic scrub with a kitchen sponge and Krud Kutter, steel wool for the spokes, and Mothers polish for the rims. Just to see what condition my condition was in. Do they look as good up close? No, but neither does the bike. It's a bit of a charity case, I overpaid for it but it was to support my local co-op.
The best course of action is probably to give up on the hubs and (galvanized) spokes and lace the hoops to the perfectly good (and perfectly boring) Origin8 stuff the Lotus came with. I need to measure that.
Thanks MH! For future reference though, shipping eventually came to $32. I don't mind at all, but it's not strictly economical anymore.

Well folks a few rear wheels here that I would like to see find a new home. The usual stuff cost of shipping and PM me. Smiles, MH
First is a cassette model Bontrager.
The rim seems to be just fine and is a double spoke design
Second is a Campy cassette model hub laced into a tubular rim
The rim shows a super champion design rim.
Double marked as an Aspin model about the same as a gel 330
