Besides the Swallow and a couple of Pros there is a C13 Carved on the Pinarello at the moment. It isn't as comfortable as the Swallow. I buy used ones.

Just received the panto stem... Should hopefully have the bike built up soon.

Everything is dropped off at the bike shop... Will hopefully have it all built and ready to go next week. I ended up getting the brown Flite saddle pictured above. I'm going with dark blue Brooks bar tape with the cork-looking end-plugs. Will hopefully all come together nicely...

OK, after a lot of delays I finally got the bike done... The Campy Centaur group had a faulty right shifter, so I had to find a new one and wait for it to arrive. Good news is that is shifts flawlessly now. I don't think I'm liking the brown saddle and black tires together. I have some Pirelli P Zero tires with a brown sidewall that I'm going to try. I think I'll just throw on a black saddle too. Also debating whether I should keep the silver Campy seatpost or just go black. Anyway, first world problems, I know. Since the C&V group has a good eye for this kind of stuff, let me know your opinions... Can't wait to take it out for a longer ride...

Still thinking I should go with a black seatpost too... Any good options out there for a zero set-back aluminum seatpost? Thinking of maybe a Thomson Masterpiece.

Black saddle definitely an improvement. I wouldn't hesitate to go with a black seatpost to match the stem, but there's enough silver components that keeping the Campy wouldn't be a deal breaker.

Thanks for the advice... Maybe I'm OCD, but I think it needs a black seatpost. Plus, I need a zero setback post to get the riding position to match my other bikes. So, I went ahead and ordered the Thomson Masterpiece in the 27.2 x 240 straight black seatpost. And it only weighs 158 grams! I'll have to weigh the silver Campy one, but I'm sure it's more than that... I'll post pics when done.

For your consideration, my ‘85 Pro (I’d have gone white for the cables on mine if I didn’t already have a new set of red Campagnolo cables in my bin):

OK, here is the final product... I personally like the black seat post better. Very happy with the results! The bike has quick handling but still comfy due to the steel frame and 700x28 tires. It's so nice to have modern gearing. Thanks for all the help!

Why don't you lose those clunker bar ends and go with something with a bit more class?

Brooks Swallow arrived and is now mounted... Matches the blue Brooks bar tape almost perfectly...
