YES

Certain bikes, Especially Ones With Spokes, have to have Wide Whitewalls!

Saw one of these today.

Supposedly, they have lots of orders and are backlogged. As for me, I see a modern Edsel.

It was too nice not to get out today. But the window was short, so I set off with the bars 3/4 taped, so as not to hurry the last part.

I think that is an insult to Edsel, which is a thing of beauty in comparison to this poorly sculpted block of stainless. Seriously. It looks like a 6-year old kids drawing you'd see on someone's refrigerator.
I saw one on the freeway in San Jose a couple of days after they started shipping and was taken aback at just how ugly it was. Since then I've only seen two and they were parked in front of a Tesla dealership. I also heard they are losing thousands on each one shipped due to the high cost of manufacturing. It will be interesting to see how successful it is.

Precisely what I told my SO. It looks like it was created from a child's scrawlings. Hope I'm wrong!

I'm still drawn to the steel

The day of this Saturday ride I was bonking bad and struggling when I shouldn't have been. I can usually manage a better camera face (below) than I did this historic day for me. Historic because I felt bad all day after the ride and at 3 AM woke my wife to say let's go to the ER, I was very dizzy. I didn't come out till Tuesday after having a pacemaker implant Monday morning. I'd mentioned over in Pills & Ills I had a very low heart rate and frequent PVC's https://www.bikeforums.net/23068053-post11.html

My cardiologist has said for years I had a pacemaker in my future, but I wasn't expecting it this soon. I'm thankful I got through the ride without passing out and maybe falling into the path of a car. I'll be off the bike for a while so the area around the pacemaker & leads heals and becomes more anchored, but I just finished a 3 mile walk tonight and everything felt great. Happy to be here !

My new velotank on the outskirts of lovely Ft. Pierce.

Oh, can someone give me a crash course on sizing these photos down?

Atmospheric River is still stalled over us so no riding today. Took a walk 3 miles (880 ft. Climb) up a dead end road and back. Large umbrella kept me dry at least from the knees up. Supposed to be dry tomorrow through the weekend.
