Yes he will. Huge growth spurt this winter. Its crazy, he was wearing size 6 shoes last summer. He’s wearing 9.5 now! The food bill is killing me! 🤣🤣
I’m going to try to get him through this summer on it. Probably will put it up for sale next spring.

WTF??? Whoever left it should be put in the stocks for a week! It’s durn hard to find a large enough ATB frame for me. I’m happy with my ‘84, but I’d gladly take another! They make such good all-rounders.

oldest t2p kid has the large hands and feet - size 12 or so now - but youngest t2p kid despite smaller hands and feet passed him in size … in one summer he passed through small to med sized bike

keep me in mind if you sell - thanks !

I will keep you in mind when I sell it.
Yeah it’s crazy how fast they grow up. My oldest is 22 and I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. Gotta love every minute of it!

Yeah, pretty crazy money for the pair. One thing that occurred to me while looking over the photos is that if there's one positive about the chainstay mounted u-brakes it's that you can't put a kickstand there!

Well, they are in CA, where the price of everything seems to be vastly more inflated compared to the rest of the country, so there's that...

I have a very soft spot for GTs since I grew up in San Diego and the closest bike shop was a GT dealer and they carried tons and tons of bmx stuff. Very trick bikes! Thanks for sharing!

Awesome. 3 piece cranks...are those 'MX' brakes? Brings back memories. I never had a GT, but still had a lot of fun on my Schwinn bmx.

Here's a 1983 Bianchi Grizzly I bought a couple of weeks ago. I still need to address small amount of rust and tune/lube it. And level the rack haha.

That will turn out really nice, SD Hawk. Myself I'd ditch the Pletscher style rack -- it looks a little out of place on a MTB - and see if I could locate a nice used Blackburn mountain rack or something similar.

Very nice selection of MTBs ,love the GTs,almost bought one psyclone frame but it was too small for me also price was high as far as what goes for the Zaskar Team, the Easton Elite tubing had a tendancy to break and doesn't age well which is why I have chosen Trek Alpha Aluminium SLR frames .The Xizang was also one of my favorite titanium frames but never found one in my size and most of those I have seen were overexpensive.Nice Cannondale and nicely equipped

Thanks! The best part about the Psyclone was that it was the big brother of the Bravado—fillet brazed chromoly steel tubing. I never liked the Zaskar—always felt too long and too stiff for my riding style. The Psyclone was a wonderful ride and a brilliant frame. I had a Team Scream '93 Bravado GT, too and I really miss that bike. I sold it because it was too small for me and I have been looking for a, 18" replacement for it for the last 30 years. LOL.

One nonprofit I work with (Recycle Your Bicycle for Foster Kids) was making room in one of their storage lockers today, and I was there to help and to transfer bikes as needed to the Rusty Spoke co-op who I also work with. Lots of bikes, but we found a few that may not be perfect for the kids but might be good for the co-op. In this bunch were three bikes that fit this thread nicely.

First up: a matched set of pink and white 1986 Trek 850s. Suntour XC stems, derailleurs, and sealed bearing hubs, power ratchet friction shifters, rollercam rear brakes, Specialized triple cranks, wide-range Shimano 5-speed freewheels. Other than the tires, in decent shape too. These may get rebuilt as city bikes, unless we find someone(s) who want them in their current two-wheel time capsule condition.

Next up: an 80s Schwinn Sierra with a double-clamp stem, a friction Shimano drivetrain, and cool white high-flange hubs. This particular bike was promptly confiscated by a co-op staffer for one of their future projects.

A long day, but not a bad one.
