Schwinn Le Tour
Ive got an 88 Letour and the headbadge says Schwinn Chicago. Does that mean it was made in Chicago or was that just the "branding"? I thought the later models were made in japan but i could be way off. I think in 87 or so they could have been made in the greenville plant as well.
Just curious is all. I suspect i might have to try and decode the serial to know.

After 1980 (ish), Le Tours were made in Chicago, transitioning to Greenville in 1985 (ish).
The made-in-Japan Le Tours were early to late ‘70’s. I had a Le Tour III I bought with paper route money back then and I still miss that bike.
