Wilier Campione d'Italia 1994

Seller is selling this bike for 200$. He said that the bike was perfect condition but it was parked in garage and not touched for 6-7 years. I'm good with tools and have everything for hand work. I understand that I will need to clean everything, grease everything, ball bearings, put new cables, brake pads, wheel tape, new tyres. Now all this is not a problem. I'm not running I can do this for all year long. I need your help. Beside this things? Will I need to change shifters, cassettes, wheels, and gearboxes? Or this should be working? I rly love this bike, please advise if I should pull the trigger. Pictures attached

Check the bottom bracket area to see if there is any rust. Also check that the seatpost is not stuck and the seat bolt/nut is not stripped, or mangled. You most likely will have to replace the chain, and the shifter could need some attention, but $200 is a decent price for this bike if there is no dents, no significant rust and the seatpost is not stuck.

I'd check the seat post and stem to make sure they are not stuck. That would be the only deal-breaker for me based on the one picture. Yes, consumables would need to be changed and everything would need to be gone through. You'd din't mention the chain, but it looks like it needs to be replace. The cassette I would think would be OK, but it might need to be changed also.

This was the answer I was looking for. Thank you man! I will go with tools and check if I can open the seat bolt and check bottom bracket area. I have more pictures but I cannot upload because I'm new member here. It looks good not some big rust anywhere. I own you beer. Cheers

Before and after pix and posts help motivate more of these saving / restoring efforts that we love to see.
Hope nothing stuck or rusted significantly and look forward to seeing and hearing about your ride of this restored classic.

The saddle is removed, will change the saddle, new tyres will try 28mm, grease all new bearings. Color is good rust was on some places but it's removed, need new tape on headset. Needs new cassette and chain, cables. Cleaning everything and polish at the end. These will take like 5-6 months as I'm not running with it and I will need the money for summer vacation. I will start with ordering some tools and parts slowly. It will be ready for ride next summer May 2025. Will make a new post with before and after pictures. Thank you for supporting me and motivate me to buy it. In Facebook group they suggest me to skip it. I tried test ride with it and I rly love it. Everything on the bikes is from 1994 nothing is changed on it as I could see even the cables, bike was driven few years in Italy, then sold here and it stayed parked in garage for years. It's rly light maybe 8-9kg, fast and on the bigger side maybe 60cm but I'm 187cm so Its my size. I need helmet and u-lock too. My plan is to ride it to work only 15km so I'm sure it will be excellent for that purpose.
