"Strada" is Italian for street or road, but the bottom bracket threading and width, along with the seat stay attachment, says "British" to me. Possibly a contract-built house brand for British shop trying to add some pseudo-Italian cache.

I agree on the British designation, given the era, my guess would be 531db. Looks like a nice bike with the campy do's and cut lugs. Try pulling the fork and checking for markings on the steer tube.

^ + 3^ Very nice British details and if i had to give a WAG I might say "Bob Jackson" or maybe one of the shops in Yorkshire that did some contract-building. Perhaps Geoff Butler?
If OP can find any previous paint (inside BB shell or on fork steerer) then the "Strada" branding could be some of those "generic" decals added to the new paint that mean nothing

I think this is the key. I'd say it's a 1977 Mercian (Strada Speciale?) built by Derek Land (the '5' off to the side is his builder mark).
For a small fee, Mercian will search their records to see if the can tell you more.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who's chipped in to help figure out this brand.
All in all it seems like a nice frame. I had claims that it was 531c Mercia 'king of mercia' frame and wanted some other opinions. Few people have said Mercia here but it seems it's difficult to figure out the model. Either way it seems like a good frame.

so many of the examples one encounters in the field do not line up closely with any of the "stock" models
once asked me local Mercian stockist about the models of the frames on display in his showroom and he explained that none were stock models as he specified what he wanted; he had learned his market and knew what to specify to maximize sales...
