I heard of this one from a buddy last week but since I don't have social media I didn't know if it had a name to the ride.

I may have to check it out and post info and screenshot the ride route.

I got a return email from the organizer. Apparently this is a newly formed ride. Inaugural outing had three riders, on a Merckx, Masi & Merican (quality start).

Start is at Keno's Restaurant Anaheim, riding the Santa Ana River trail to Riverview Golf Course (Bridge to Bridge)

google map of approximate route

What qualifies as a "vintage steel bike"... is there a cutoff year?

Don’t worry, just show up

I run Camellia City. The best rides don’t try to police and just let people enjoy the outings. Be clear what the goal is. On our rides, about 90% of the bikes wind up being Eroica compliant. We don’t hassle the remainder.

i think it’s great someone is trying to get something going.

I agree. I invite every cyclist and I always state that its a Vintage ride, but ALL bikes are welcome to attend ,, no need to turn people away .

We are growing!

I am the organizer (I didn't find out about this thread until now). Here is a photo from month 2. I am hoping we can continue to grow the ride, and may extend it another 5 Miles or so past yorba linda regional park. It is meant to be more of a casual, fun, socializing group ride, not too strenuous.

No cutoff or any official rules. I trust people that bother to show up know whats what. Loosely, I am good with Eroica rules, but a lugged steel frame is sufficient.
