It's a package deal, testimony to the long term British dominance of the global bike trade.

Yes, I'm aware that it's reverse thread. Also, that Park Tool doesn't work. The pins are the right size. Too big. I know, I have one. That being said, I have one of the Campy bolt extractors. Cheers.

The Park tool with the red handles is too big?

I was talking about Bicycle Mechanics subforum - which should be a place you can get solid, factual information.

We already have the Advocacy and Safety sub for people who like to talk about how things should be, rather than are.

Out of curiosity, if you don't mind: just what is the pin/hole diameter on the tool for removing that particular Campagnolo part?

I never measured them, but speaking from visual memory, they're roughly 1mm.

As I posted earlier, I used circling pliers made for smaller circlips.

Measuring the one I have: Pins are 1.6 mm and are spaced 18 mm apart c-t-c.

I'm not sure. Haven't measured them. They are very small, and likely explains one of the reasons why Campag ceased that design! I suspect they can easily snap off, rendering the tool useless. Of course you could always drill the holes larger and use the BB spanner tool.
