Rad plus
For those interested Rover 6 high step is $999 through Memorial Day. IMHO that's an awesome deal! I rode my daughters electrek the other day to grab her car at the repair shop and for the same price point and nice handling it's night and day compared to what the Rover has.
Of course to be fair I folded the electrek into her car, not happening with a Rover

Well that was too good to be true. They followed up and said it was a typo and the sale is $1099, but would honor folks who bought before they caught it.

kayakindude, electrek is a website, not a bike, unless I'm not aware of the bike.
Do you mean Electra?
Or Lectric?

Also, that's a hard sell vs. a Fiido T1 Pro for $999. I think they were on the right track before their "typo". No one types '9' when they meant to type '10'.
Compared to the Radrunner Plus, the T1 Pro has: (italic is worse, the rest are better)
Compared to the Radrunner Plus, the T1 Pro has: (italic is worse, the rest are better)
- Cast wheels instead of spoked
- Included front rack
- Flip-up, sprung saddle, for some kind of rear suspension
- Poor coverage fenders
- Class 3 instead of Class 2
- More versatile tire thread (not as good offroad, better in the city, fine for gravel)
- 43% more battery capacity (960 Wh vs. 672 on the Rad)
- Not 3rd party certified

It's the Lectric, powder blue. It's a nice bike but feels weird to push a single speed with assist, i spun out fairly quick. I think the gearing and weight of the Rover gives me a better workout even at higher speeds.

The Lectric XP Lite was designed with these compromises in mind to keep it light(ish) at 40 lbs so that it can be reasonably loaded into a car without back injury.
The single speed drive is also a compromise: it’s not as good for letting us help in a climb nor for pedaling along at high speed.
I would say the XP Lite makes up for its compromises with its weight, portability and low cost, especially if you want a bike to throw in your trunk to take with you without having to have a heavy duty trailer hitch for a heavy duty rack.
Around town only though? Yep; Rad all the way.
