Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oh god, Nair is some of the most evil stuff ever. I tried it ONCE. I did the little allergy test spot like the instructions recommended and I didn't have any adverse effects, so I slathered it all over my legs, nice and thick. It did an acceptable job of removing the hair, and for the rest of the day my skin was in good shape too. The next day I woke up to massive scabbed-over rashes all over my thighs. It took about 3-4 days of regular cortizone cream treatments before the burning and itch went away. It was absolutely horrible. I can't even stand the smell of Nair anymore, gives me PTSD flashbacks.

Yep; I do think that this has me certain that I'm just going to keep using a razor - have always worried about what sort of reaction my legs would have...especially considering the fact that regular ol lotion doesn't feel great just after a shave.

Nair is a nightmare for me as well - it goes through my skin quicker than my hair.

I might have my leg/chest hair removed permanently some day soon. I've never liked body hair, not since I was a teen. Well, depending on the time/cost involved.

Since this thread is still on the main page and I keep seeing it and getting notices that you people have replied...

How many of you shave and how many use wax and how many use an epilator and how many got your forest lasered...Asking because I would NEVER shave if I had to do it...it'd be one of the other means.

Forget 5 o'clock...I get 9 AM shadow. Stubble on my legs would drive me into politics, and you wouldn't want that.

An electric razor is all I'm gonna use. It's quick and there's no razor burn/nicks to worry about. Any stubble I get (I have very hairy legs) is taken care of by a quick once over with the razor. I find the process to be very quick using the electric razor....I also find that applying a moisturizing lotion regularly eliminates any itch problem.

Ooh Rah!

THIS former Marine has been shaving his legs for 15 years. Head for 10, trimming everything else for 12+. I'm very hygienic thank you.

Published data suggests 5 seconds in a 40 k TT. Time repeatedly shaving applied to training would probably have a greater impact. https://damonrinard.com/aero/aerodynamics.htm
