front wheel

SO i got my bike back from the shop, it sent it in for a front that was badly out of true (jumped about half an inch in one section). According to the mechanic it will soon fail. The wheel is perfectly true right now, but every spoke has a different tension, aparently i hit something really hard. So i think i am going to wait it out, then i will get a pike 95-140mm travel and a new front wheel. By the way it will be for a specialized p.2

Was there a question?

Anyway, just in case it was a "is this a good idea?" question, if the wheel is guaranteed to fail like that, I wouldn't ride it anymore. What exactly are you "waiting it out" for? Going over the bars and possibly losing some teeth?

I'd say buy a new wheel or at least a new rim and rebuild.
