Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It's really stupid and pointless to go into road rage with any driver. I'm usually very mellow, but in all my years of riding, I did this myself once. It was last summer, after some fat young bozo in a 60's muscle car cut me off and gave me the horn while doing it. I vowed never to do that again. For one thing, with the low level of civilization we all live in now, it can be dangerous. But really, what's the point. Are we really going to change anything? We're just setting up the bozo to buzz the very next cyclist he comes across.

Yup. It is something, here.

Though, it will always be something of a reaction when it's said "I worked in an Iraqi Prison". Not a popular place to be in many perspectives.

But, did my part, will go home, back to life, get back to normal.

Thanks.

I keep thinking of that quote from Brosnon in Mars attacks.

Up. I wonder if this is still relevant today? Places like Yojimbo's (one of my old favorite shops) aren't really needed today, when you can get your first fixie at Urban Outfitters. Does that magic still exist? Hmm.
