Chrome Bianchi Pista frameset

Anyone know where I can purchase one of these? I've looked around and can't seem to find just the frameset.

they weren't sold as just a frameset, you'll have to find one used.

Welds are so so, for sure nothing special but not quite toothpaste level.

I don't know about the welds failing, but I know of 2 people who's pista frames have cracked. Bianchi wouldn't warranty them either, which sucks.

I had this warrantied. They gave me a new complete for $100 which I promptly sold to my LBS for wholesale price. Sold the busted frame on eBay. Waiting on a bareknuckle that is supposed to drop this week...

I just discovered that mine has a crack in almost exactly the same place. Righthand top of the rear stay, extending down the seattube for a couple of mm's.

Did the one that you have break clean through? What year of manufacture?

Mine is a 55cm, never crashed, and I'm a light, old guy running a 71 inch gear.

Just trying to get some sense of what happened with yours.

Thanks,

Joel

If you're looking for a chrome frame you can get a Schwinn Madison and Jasco off all the paint. The bike is fully chrome underneath.
