I raced campy chorus/record and DA/Ultegra. I prefer DA mainly for the lighter shift action and shape of levers.
Campy takes a bit more to shift, esp from the drops and the reach is a bit much to the brakes- and I don't have small hands.
However, spin a Campy bottom bracket- smmmoooothhh! like butta! Shimano feels like it's stuck on its seals or something. That is the only quantifiable difference besides the shift feel for me.
I am kinda interested in SRAM since the levers are so clean and shape is nice. I don't know if it's an upgrade from Ultegra SL or DA though.

Heh, I have to wait for my next paycheck to buy the gruppo and some other misc. items for the build. T-minus 28 days and counting.
