My Seasons tikit unveiled
After a month or so of waiting, I have just unboxed my new built-to-order (BTO) Seasons tikit. I sold my custom Swift folder with a Nexus IGH to another folder fanatic (hi John!) in order to make room for my new ride. I definitely enjoyed the Swift, but after moving out of the 'burbs and into the city, space for the "fleet" has definitely become a problem. So after some saving, lusting, and back-and-forth on the Brompton M6R and the tikit, I'm definitely satisfied with my choice.
Some details:
- Small hyper-fold frame (I'm 5'3")
- Nexus "red band" 8-sp IGH
- rear rack
- transit cover
- awesome gold-colored bell!
- Brooks b67s
- fenders
I'm looking forward to enjoying it thoroughly this Labor Day weekend!
++++++++
Christmas in August!
Even Buddy is curious
My first glimpse
Things are getting interesting now
Unfolding and folding was a snap!
Yes, that's a 1969 Raleigh Twenty in the background (acquiring that bike is a whole other story)

Congratulations! The color combo is nice. Do you have any more photos?
I look forward to hearing about how the bike works and does not work for you. I am very interested in a Tikit myself.

It looks so small next to the Raleigh Twenty!
Congrats! - I'm sure you'll have the best rides (on both of them)

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend and will hopefully try to get some "pootle" pics to post here.

Sweet.
If you are interested, a few people put together a friendly ride beginning at the Viers Mill Rec. Center 9/6. Looks like we are bringing at least one bike friday while our bud is bringing a tandem recumbent bike friday.
I know Makeinu isn't far away. Perhaps this can be a local folder ride!
Details of the ride.

Congrats, I'm a Green Bike-Friday owner too (2005 Pocket-Rocket)
I'm very curious about the ticket, let us know how it works out.

Yes, that's my 4.5-lb hellion, I mean, Chihuahua. If you want to see more cuteness, he's on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da4EZFlTFFs

he doesn't look like a hellion,
he looks like a good boy. I see lots of dogs in my building
I like the non pampered small dogs where the owner lets him/her
off leash and not in a handbag.
your new Bike Friday looks nice too. it's good to see a handcrafted bike
made in the US and still reasonably priced.
I think the Swift used to be made domestically before the Xootr name was attached.
this was years ago when I was going to sell some stuff to get a Swift.

That looks like a Carradice Super C Saddlepack but how is it attached to the saddle? I have one which uses straps but you seem to have made a modification using a Klick Fix type of bracket. Do tell!

Good eyes!!
Yes it is a Klick Fix that I purchased through Jandd.com. I had to modify the seat clamp a bit as klick fix technically does not work on a Brooks saddle. I like to be able to pack/unpack my friday in 15 mins or less, so all of my accessories are quick release. The super-C is a good bag, but I had trouble with the straps pulling up an over the fender washer carradice used. I repaired this twice, the brainstormed how I could do better. This is what I came up with and it works good. The original buckes are still inplace as I plan to use them as external tie points for something like a jacket.
I don't wish to hijack this thread. Feel free to contact me off line if you would like more details or you could start a new thread raising this question.

Great idea which I copied today! I have loads of Klick Fix bits from various things I have tried so it was easy to modify the Super C to clip onto my saddle. Keep brainstorming!
