North County Ride - March 1 (45 miles)

Meet at the Oceanside train station at 8 am. We'll do the San Luis Rey trail to College, then head down the coast to Lomas Santa Fe. About 45 miles or so. Not a hammer ride. There will be pit stops along the way.

It could be an Official Forum Ride and we could all wear matching jerseys and color-coordinate our socks.

So far there are three of us going.

Just because... I'll be there... as long as I wake up in time...

Fun ride today... just long enough to get my blood pumping without creating any pain later on...

Yes, the weather was perfect and it was nice to meet new people.

Anyone up for Sleeping Indian later this month? I haven't done that in a while.

Sure. We'll have to make it a day that Extort can come. He'll climb it like a mountain goat and descend at 15 mph.

Depending on the surface of the road I might make it to 20 mph...

Weekends work for me, except for the days when I get called in to work... I also have relatives coming in town during the last weekend in March, so that is out.

Sounds tempting, plus a great way to make some new friends in the area. I've never climbed Sleeping Indian. Anyone care to fill me in? I'm still trying to build a base after being off the bike for close to a year, and I'm wondering if I might be getting in over my head! Any idea on a date yet?

Mike

I will start a new thread for the ride and we can work out the details.

You all have quads way bigger than mine.

I thought I did a fabulous job of fixing my helmet hair BTW.

True, but it's more my posture than what I'm wearing.

Though now that I look from a 3rd person point of view, I do kinda stuck out like a sore thumb, what with the lacking of yellow.
