the no drop and deep drop stratos are not aesthetically pleasing and not as good for my usage, but enjoy!

Hi, guys I'm about to purchase a Windsor Hour and I'm still debating on what size I should buy. I've tried my friends Bianchi San Jose and I think it was a 54 and it fit me pretty good. I also rode my friends Kilo TT which was a 50. That seemed a little small, but wasn't that uncomfortable of a ride. I also rode my friends Motobecane Messenger (54) and it was pretty good.. I'm 5' 10" with an inseam of around 32 (I think?) What size should I get in the Hour? I'm leaning towards a 54.. But 52 also seems like it would fit my size. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Has anyone that has taken their fork off. Let me know what I need to do? The fork seems to be wedged in somehow. Im use to the fork just dropping out once the stem is taken off.

Yeah the deep drops were never considered. Found these ones for a good price and I couldn't pass it up...Just got back from a ~20 mile ride on them and I am in love!! Considering I have been rolling on risers for a few months, it is nice to have the other hand positions!

Can't wait for my Hour to come in next week!
I really want brakes to put on just as a safety precaution. Can anyone recommend me decent front brakes that won't break the bank?

I found some spray that was pretty much identical to the stock color (maybe a littttttle bit more metal flake in it). It looks pretty good in person. Plus a few layers of clear...you would think the bike came this way by how it looks. Right now I have electrical tape around 'TheHour.' I plan to eventually paint that as well but haven't had time to do so.

Quite late to this thread, but I thought I would just join in and add that I, too, love my Windsor The Hour (2006) as well. I actually race it on the track and it is more than sufficient -- I am competitive racing against others riding bikes that cost much much more (carbon, aluminum, deep section, yadda yadda). I did have it powder coated (burnt orange with gold sparkles by Sycip) and replaced many of the parts from eBay and Craigslist over the past few years, but I still race the stock clincher wheels most of the time -- though I am gluing some tubulars tonight for this weekend...

"What are some good brakes to put on it? I want to have at least a front brake"

Look at what is on other BD bikes - I have a Kilo pro, and the Tektro R350 works well. The real question is, what type of levers? My "Pro" came with a cross lever, but I had an old pair of bars hanging in the garage, and I put some new Tektro drop levers on it. Only the left lever is connected, but I like to ride on the levers, so I have two for places for both hands. So, levers are your choice based on personal preference. Overall though, Tektro makes good stuff at low prices, and Bike Island (same company as BD) seems to have good prices, expecially after considering shipping.

Looks good, tramnineteen! The blue goes well with the matte grey!

Unfortunately I haven't been ridding my bike at all lately. I was hit a ~week ago by a chevy blazer on my commute to work. Broke my collar bone, OUCH! But the bike is OK thankfully...haha. Only some brush burn on my bar tape and regal

My BB finally took a dump on me this morning after a few months of riding pretty hard on it. Nothing but crunching sounds when I tired to turn the pedals. Thing that sucks was I was on my way to work and all I did was hit a grate in the road, came down hard on the pedals and it was shot. Glad I have an Clockwork so I had some brakes. Any suggestions for a good replacement? I am riding FG on it.

How do you like those power grips?

How do I get a cat in my wheel?

I have a 2002 Windsor The Hour (Yellow) and love riding the bike. It has been nothing but good to me. I'm in the process of updating the components. Soon to come Sugino RD Messenger Cranks Black, Vuela Pista Track Wheels, Drop bars

Thinking about removing the decals...any thoughts on how?

I was going to sell my red Windsor but not anymore. You guys showed me the love!
500 miles on the bike and the BB makes noises when I pedal hard..is that normal?
Velo saddle hurts my butt & will install riser bars soon.
The 56cm frame is a little big for me (I'm 5 '10). Maybe my arms will grow longer =)

I will upgrade to Sugino 75 crank/ arms soon when college tuition fees go down... any BB recommendations or should I keep what I have now?

Btw will Weinmann 700c Dp18s black spoke/non-machined wheels look good here for front & back wheel?

Here is my red-devil baby !
