Finally met a BF member in person
I have emailed and phoned BF members before, but I finally met one today face to face. I sold my Bridgestone RB3 to Jasmijo from Chicago. I live about 150 miles away so we decided to meet halfway instead of shipping the bike. She seemed to really like the bike and we talked about what a friendly place Bike Forums is as long as you are visiting C&V, not road cycling . Anyway, it was great to put a face with the emails.

Hey, that's me! It was really nice to meet you. You were the first person I've met, as well. Although, I should be meeting Chicago Al pretty soon here. C&Vers are the best!

I've met Chicago Al and Big Polish Jimmy. Both are great guys, too.
I wouldn't mind meeting more of you, especially OFG in AZ or CudaK888 in Miami come January or February.

That is a nice story : )
I met a bikeforums member recently, but did not view it as an "epic moment". We live in the same neighborhood, both own Raleigh DL-1s, and frequent some of the same places of business - so it was only a matter of time really and felt very normal.

I have a bunch of bikes I need to release out into the wild, so I would be interested in setting something up.

Chicago CV ride sounds good to me, I'll start a separate thread.
I look forward to meeting Jasmine in person too. We have exchanged emails, mostly about mixtes, and her enthusiasm is contagious!

With a few days notice, I could be convinced to join in. If Chicago Al can roadtrip to my house for a bike I can roadtrip to his for a nice ride.
