November only uses carbon for DB wheels, and we're still on rim. Racing will be Hed Jets for the foreseeable future. These would be Belgium+ and those are nearly 20mm between the hooks anyway, so pretty wide. I'll probably get mine relaced to whatever hubs she uses instead of the lowest-end Hed hub with straight unbutted spokes that I only bought because the whole wheelset was barely above the price of the rims.

Seems to me that an Under Armour hat is a contradiction in terms.

Ah, I hadn't noticed.
Hard to go wrong with the Belguim+. Not that a wheelset is in my immediate future, but I'm tempted to go back to H+ Son and get some Hydra rims (much like the old Archetype [and Belguim+], but tubeless and disc-specific)... that or possibly some mid-depth LightBicycle carbon rims. Then again, if the total price starts to work up in to the $700+ region, then using my monthly 20% LBS discount on a pair of Aeolus Pro 5s might make sense.
Ah, bike crap.

Pro tip for fresh roadkill: Go out at night with a spray can and paint a circle around all of the roadkill that you can find. Then, go out early in the morning and pick up every dead animal without a circle around it. Yum, good eatin'.

I had rotator cuff surgery Dec. 1. I was in physical therapy within two weeks, so where that '6 weeks of inactivity' stuff comes from is a mystery to me, you have to start P.T. soon afterwards or risk stuff like frozen shoulder. I think I could have ridden a bicycle after 5-6 weeks, it was the dead of winter. I was fairly pain free after about 5 months, but it did hurt for a long time after the surgery, maybe for like 10-14 weeks, not badly, but persistent. It finally calmed down. Now nearly 9 months later my sinking slider is back up to 92 mph.

Maybe I'll ride the road bicycle today. I keep getting poison ivy and sticker bush lacerations in the woods. I also learned yesterday that my MTB (which has knobbies spec'd for 38 psi) rolls better with 25 psi than with 12 psi, and that tubeless tires lose a fair bit of air so you have to constantly monitor and top them off with the floor pump.
Who knew?

No, but I need a new winter coat.
Kind of like a modern car mechanic.
So you don't actually fix them, you just put them on or take them off the bicycle.

kudos for "pinning on a number". I cut all of my lawns yesterday. It was not a practice session and I don't want to repeat it. @Velo Vol thinks I should HTFU. It is not always that easy.

We've assembled some Rad electric bikes. One customer had it shipped directly to the store. It weighs 60 pounds, oof.

Also, the issues I've heard of with some of the other alloy rims have me shying away. I'd rather drop an extra Jackson per rim and have the peace of mind.

Your November comment reminded me to take a look at their wares, which made me look at their blog, which made me follow a link to an aero test, and upon reading the comments... I see that you were there last week. IIRC, the Pro and XXX have the same exact rim profile, so I would think that they'd perform similarly, unless there's some significant spoke/hub differences.

This morning’s workout was the first time I’ve been cold on the bike in a long time. Base layer, jersey, arm warmers and vest. End of summer is nigh.
Recently Coach bought the same TT bike and wheels as me, he’s just getting on them now. Wow I’m honored. And logistically it could be useful to me, he’ll know all the nuances of the bike as well as I (honestly: Mr H) do (does).
Speaking of which- there is some plan being played out to change my brake levers to something more aero. I’m unclear on the details but it includes making custom Di2 shift buttons. Parts have been arriving, I’m being shown miniature circuit boards, there’s a soldering iron on the kitchen counter. Don’t ask me, not my idea, it’s some groupthink of Mr H, coach and fitter. I think half the stuff is not even bicycling products, it’s getting sourced outside the industry,
Race season for me starts Oct but I’m going to do a “preseason” race a week from Sunday. Oy that’s gonna hurt, I’ve not exactly been on top of things with the TT bike of late. Plus the skin suit’s gonna look great since I’m now a fatty. But I’m pretty sure stronger. Some of it must be muscle. Right?

While riding in the state last year I came upon a woman in a vehicle who had just hit a fairly large doe. Her car's hood was folded in, so I don't think she was going anywhere with the carcass, which was perfectly in tact. Maybe a local salvaged it.
