Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does it not bug you to stop 1/2 a mile before 40?

A riding friend of mine posted a 99.92 mile ride to her Strava feed on Sunday

I swear she did it on purpose.

I own a classic (Spanish) guitar that I bought way back during the OJ Simpson trial. There was noting else on TV as the media pounded that subject to death and I got sick of it. The solution was, obviously, to get a guitar that I never learned to play much. But I do like the way a guitar looks, sounds and feels in the hands and I'm happy to have it in the house. For your listening pleasure I submit a video of three lady guitarists, two are Spanish and the third is Vietnamese.

A nylon string guitar has been on my wish-list for a while. Such a sweet sound.

Thanks for the video, that was nice to listen to

I build them as a hobby, but am quite a bad player myself.

The small one is a short scale kid sized one for my 12 year old. If you squint enough, you can see the X-Wing on the head stock and the Millennium Falcon on it that he picked to be on the guitar. What can I say, the little guy likes his Star Wars.

I took 800 mg ibuprofen today and went for a ride. All of 24 km but it was glorious. Mid 90s. Predicted high tomorrow is 97, and on Thu. 82. Cold front

Yes, but from what I’ve heard of her playing I don’t care for the pitch of her drums. Plus she pounds the cymbals too much, anybody can do that.

Im going to look for a solo I recorded of a band I like.

This is from one of the best parties we ever had, despite the autograph seekers getting out of hand. Jeez!
