Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

More people should have minivans, like 49% of the people that have SUVs (another 49% should have wagons, instead). So much more practical - more cargo room for people/stuff, lower entrance heights, none of the BS off-road pretensions, etc. I learned to appreciate minivans in highschool when we went out TPing with my friend's minivan - piling in and out from the dual sliding doors and hitting our targets like some special forces team? **** yeah!

I think it was the faux-spoke wheel covers.

Kudos. We can form a "1990's car owners" subforum.

It replaced a 1977 Ford LTD. I'm 54 and I have only owned 3 cars, all used. Unfortunately, the Acclaim is really showing it's age and I'm not sure how much time it has left...

I've got a couple of good high school car stories. I bought a 3 wheeled Post Office delivery truck at an auction. You have to be a bit old to remember them. One Halloween night we filled it with water balloons. In the dark, a lady in front of her house opened the mailbox and yelled that I forgot her letter. The two guys in the back gave her an unwanted response.

We are all living on borrowed time.

Trump seems to be coming to visit my place of work tomorrow. Hope it doesn't rain too hard because negotiating the added security by car will suck.

Yeah, but FCA will still have two minivans in the lineup. They're just Chryslers now.

Minivans can be very useful for cyclists. We had a Caravan for a few years.

I got the dumb idea in my head that I want to ride from Minneapolis to Duluth (160+ miles) some day this year. As I don't want to do a round trip, this would involve meeting the family up there, which would mean having the wife drive the kids up there by herself. She's not too keen on the idea, but negotiations are ongoing.

I'd willingly infect myself with the Coronovirus if I got the chance to cough on him. That should help his appreciation.
