Oh, sorry Sam - - Last Chance Qualifiers. That's everyone who missed the top nine auto-advance spots to the Mains. Just top two from that go, so there are often some wild duels for 2nd place.
I'm having to learn names all over again. Most of my past Supercross reference was from the Jeff Ward - Jean-Michel Bayle days . Even the younger guys I was aware of - - Emig, Carmichael, etc. - - heck, they're retired and are announcers now. Sheesh.

Chad Reed is the only name I can put a face to so far. I only remember names from the McGrath, Carmichael, Fonseca days. I quit watching around the time Stewart started racing 450's. Glad to see he's still tearing it up out there.

Been a little more ballsy than usual with my bike lately, & I've noticed that my rear tire rubs the cable guide on the back of my seat tube when I bottom out. Doesn't happen often enough to be of major concern, but it bothers me. Any ideas?

Replacement. Stock was an RS Bar 2.1, current is a Fox RP2. Funny thing is, the travel is greater on the old shock by .5", so in theory it seems like it would be less likely to rub.

Been thinking about 1x9 for a while now; my only concern is that the wheel might still rub the seat tube even after grinding it off. I'll have to let the air out of the shock & see if that'd be an issue when I get off work.

Didn't you pick up this frame on mega blowout? You may have just figured out why...
Other options:
1. knobby knife
2. Administer BFH treatment to back of seat tube, cover with sticker

Hmm, could be. I'll have to email KHS & see if they know what the stock i2i/travel was for the '08 XCT535. I know from their awesome website archives that it did at least come with a Bar 2.1 from the factory (https://khsbicycles.com/03_xct_535_08.htm) but it's possible that WheelWorld threw a Bar 2.1 on of either a) much more travel, b) shorter i2i, or c) both.

I knew I had seen it somewhere before, thanks for finding that! Although, just heard back from KHS, & they say it came with 3" stroke. But the 7.5" i2i was the most relevant, & it's the same. Oh well, it's been too long since my last project anyway.

Hopefully you live somewhere with tubes big enough for your tire. Tubes >2.125 do not exist in Georgia.

So I had no idea about the 100cc sumo but it looks like a lot of fun for racing on a budget? How do you get more power out of that motor? I'm guessing that a clydesdale like me wouldn't be competitive in that class...

Racing on a budget was my entire reason for it, super cheap to race these things at kart tracks (& I'm lucky enough to be 2 hours from Josh Herrin's backyard track). As far as upgrades, the BBR 120 big bore seems to be the most popular. Add a better cam, valve springs, & a bigger carb & it should get you well into the teens for hp, maybe $600 or so in upgrades. Down here, there are classes for bigger bikes as well...can't remember exact classes but I know there are at least two middleweight classes for the in betweener bikes (~150cc) & one full size supermoto class. Track sizes & classes may vary in your area.
And as far as being competitive, down here there's a very grassroots vibe...less focus on fast bikes & more focus on skills, so there's usually some room for compensation for the Clydesdale racers.
