I don't remember who mentioned low spoke count wheels but our tandem has 20°F and 24°R.

Boo hoo, but it's nice being able look up and not having the natural discs above and below destroyed by fusions.

I lived in the dorms for one semester only. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there. Living in the trenches off campus with your roommates created life long bonds, especially when you didn't come from money. Everybody struggled together.

You taught me that some time ago and it works, but not reliably enough to make me confident about drinking during anything but minimal effort. I think the issue is that top flange in the C4-5 implant and flexion only backs it out a small amount. Bits of apples with heavy peel etc. get stuck there all the time too. Boo hoo, but it's nice being able look up and not having the natural discs above and below destroyed by fusions.

I recall my first "real" road bike had 32H F/R which I thought was hot stuff compared to the default 36H.

We did stage race our tandem a couple times and used 36° road wheels. They only made it through about 5 races each and when they broke, they broke 3-4 spokes at a time. Luckily, we never crashed but a wheel did collapse just past the line of a TT once.
