Kia Ora!
Greetings from New Zealand. I've been biking all my life but have downsized in these later years to a 1999 Santa Cruz Heckler 'hack bike' and my beloved Specialized Diverge. I cycle guide for a company in Christchurch and know my way around a toolbox. Just finished 3 weeks of lazy mornings watching the Giro and looking forward to Le Tour, although my ski season will interfere with viewing!

Welcome Sean. My wife and I did a cycling tour of the north and south islands of New Zealand last December. We had a great time cycling and sight seeing.

Hi Sean from another Kiwi. I'm also in Christchurch but am primarily a cycle commuter.

I'm not to concerned whether there are bike lanes or not. I'd just like the damn drivers to indicate and buses to have better mirrors.

We did a pre tour in Queenstown and liked the ride from Queenstown to Glenorchy. It had lots of punchy climbing with good roads. In Glenorchy, we did a high speed river ride on a jet boat.
The other ride was Akora to Lyttelton. This was a hard ride but it was what we came to New Zealand for. Great country.
