Beautiful to see Campanaerts do one last huge turn, then drop away into the fast approaching scrum. Absolutely beautiful! I had hoped Craddock would've found his way into this stage...

So does Jasper Disaster finally get relegated for cutting off other riders?

Yup, I'm sure theories abound. Mine is that his prep wasn't 100%, and either he peaked a little too early, or otherwise just couldn't sustain. It seems to me like he's shown small signs of weakness (relatively speaking!) for a few days now.

I think today we are looking at the difference between a natural and wildly talented, unprecedented phenom and a hard working guy who worked nights at the canning factory.
Mornings. And he was already on a UCI Continental team when his coach told him to get a day job for a few months.

At least there will be a few sprint stages to keep things lively. I for one expect Vingegaard to lead out Wout on the Champs Elysees...

That’s going to be a really really long lead out.

Wout Van Aert? I will bet you $10...$100...$1000? (your choice). Your prediction will not happen this year.

A very good stage for a sprinter stage with drama at the end....

Every once in a while, it works....
